First of all, Grandma P. continues to do very well, she is home and headed to chemotherapy soon, and in pretty good spirits. Jo had her surgery at Munson in T.C. on 3/16 and they took her left kidney, left ureter and tumor, and both ovaries. They found nodules on her bladder, rectum, and inside of abdomen, and removed all those tumors. She is still in the hospital, having some foreseen complications of major abdominal surgery, but she continues to plug away. Ben and I are planning to go out over easter weekend to visit. Thank you again for all of your prayers and positive thoughts over these two; God is good and we continue to pray for healing.
I thought I'd post another picture of the cats, Sam is getting bigger and bigger. I wish we had a video camara- they are absolutely hilarious when they start wrestling...
And these next pictures are what I promised Penny. We've started the remodeling of our attic. We're having insulation put in, and decided to get all the wiring, framing, basic fixtures, etc. put in. We'll be getting new windows, too. And, boy were we happy to find out there will be a tax credit for all this stuff for 2009... Especially since our furnace died on us and we had to replace that, too! So, this first picture is from the stairs leading up...(along the wall there I'm thinking floor to ceiling book shelves:)
the second is from the top of the stairs looking to the front of the house... (probably the computer/craft nook)
the third is from the front of the house toward the south side...(probably where the spare bed will go)
facing the back of the house from the front...stairs going down to the right in picture...area behind the wall will be storage and fire escape window. At this point we're not planning on making living space beyond that door, but it could be a medium sized room if need be.
The pictures don't really do our attic justice. Our guy was able to keep the ceilings about 15' high, and keep lots of room. He's going to put in a few storage spaces behind the kneewalls and a few other nifty things. We are super excited, or at least I am super excited. Ben is happy about the attic, but not looking forward to hauling his computer desk up there. We have a few years before that, though, since we'll need to save up for drywalling and flooring.So, that's all for now. God Bless you all.
